Portfields Primary School
This half-term, Year 5 have been learning about the Vikings and ended our topic with a visit from our own Viking warrior. During the morning, we took part in a range of activities including a playing the 'Fox and Geese' board game and completing a Viking quiz. The afternoon was spent learning about Viking weapons and we were lucky enough to see and handle some weapons and armour ourselves. We ended the day by spear wrestling in pairs - a fun yet competitive game the Vikings used to play!
