About School Governors
A school governor is a member of a school's governing body, which is made up of volunteers. Governors work with the headteacher and staff to help raise standards of achievement, and are at the heart of how a school operates. As well as helping the school agree and maintain standards by setting and monitoring targets and planning for the future, the governors also help the school to respond to the needs of parents and the wider community. They are a friend to the school, offering professional support and challenge. A governing body's responsibilities include:
- accountability for the performance of the school
- planning the school's future direction
- selecting the headteacher
- making decisions about the school's budget and staffing
- making sure a broad range of subjects is taught, that meet legal requirements
- ensuring that the school provides for all its pupils
The Governing body meet at-least once per term to review the current status of the school, and the sub committees meet at least once per term. We have a Teaching and Learning Committee (T&L) and a Finance, Personnel and Premises Committee (FPP).
If you are interested in joining the Governing body, please contact the Chair of Governors via the School.
Governors serve for a 4 year term - below is a list of our current Governors, the category of Governor they are and the date when they were appointed.

All of our staff and children want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to our school governors.
You give your time freely to support us and promote the best interests of all the children in our school.
Your continued commitment in working with staff to ensure our children are happy, engaged and empowered is visible throughout the School.
Once again, thank you, we are very fortunate to have such dedicated governors.
We look forward to seeing you all in school again soon.
